Coalition Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and creative Remote Email Marketing Specialist to develop, execute, optimize, and manage high-performing email marketing campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role is ideal for someone with experience in email automation, lifecycle marketing, CRM platforms, HTML email development, A/B testing, deliverability, and marketing analytics.

As an Email Marketing Specialist, you will create and optimize promotional, transactional, and automated email campaigns while collaborating with designers, copywriters, and digital marketing teams to drive customer engagement and business growth.

Email Marketing Responsibilities


As an Email Marketing Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, building, scheduling, testing, and deploying one-time, recurring, triggered, and dynamic email campaigns
  • Developing and executing email marketing strategies across the customer lifecycle, including promotional, transactional, and automated campaigns
  • Participating in client meetings and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful campaign execution
  • Maintaining high client satisfaction through timely, accurate, and high-quality campaign delivery
  • Building and managing A/B testing programs to improve engagement, conversions, deliverability, and campaign performance
  • Performing quality assurance reviews to ensure campaigns are error-free before deployment
  • Troubleshooting technical issues related to HTML email templates, list segmentation, dynamic content, and campaign execution
  • Building complex automated workflows, customer journeys, drip campaigns, and trigger-based email programs
  • Continuously optimizing email campaigns through testing of creative, messaging, cadence, offers, audience targeting, and personalization
  • Collaborating with Digital Producers and Copy Strategists to improve branding, messaging, design, and campaign effectiveness
  • Monitoring email deliverability, sender reputation, data hygiene, and CAN-SPAM compliance
  • Defining business and technical requirements for automated email journeys, triggers, segmentation, and personalization
  • Analyzing campaign performance, customer behavior, and engagement metrics to identify optimization opportunities
  • Deploying and reviewing test emails across multiple email clients and internet service providers to ensure quality and compatibility
  • Maintaining email marketing standards, including opt-in/opt-out processes, responsive design, HTML quality, formatting, and deliverability best practices
  • Participating in strategy meetings, occasional client presentations, and ongoing campaign planning
  • Staying current with email marketing trends, platform updates, and industry best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong proofreading, editing, and quality assurance skills
  • Experience planning and executing email marketing campaigns for clients or organizations
  • Experience creating automated email journeys, drip campaigns, lifecycle marketing campaigns, and customer segmentation strategies
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including targeting, responsive design, personalization, deliverability, A/B testing, performance measurement, and CAN-SPAM compliance
  • Ability to write marketing copy for multiple industries while maintaining each client's unique brand voice
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use campaign data to improve performance
  • Passion for optimization, testing, and data-driven marketing
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, Omnisend, Mailchimp, or similar platforms
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Drip, or similar systems
  • Experience customizing email templates within CMS and eCommerce platforms such as BigCommerce, Shopify, or WordPress
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion

Preferred Qualifications


The following experience is preferred but not required:

  • Digital marketing agency experience
  • HTML email development and editing
  • Experience with advanced email automation and customer journey mapping
  • Experience interpreting campaign analytics and customer engagement data
  • Experience working with eCommerce email marketing programs

Coalition Technologies is a fully remote company. Our team works remotely with the support of time tracking software, structured communication, and a company culture designed to help remote team members succeed. Compensation


For candidates located in California, New York, Washington, and Colorado, the starting base pay for this position ranges from $17 to $35 per hour. Compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills test performance, geographic location, and seniority of the position offered. For candidates outside of California, New York, Washington, and Colorado, compensation may fall outside the listed range.
