Coalition Technologies is seeking a creative, analytical, and highly organized Remote Social Media Specialist to develop, manage, and optimize social media strategies for client accounts. This role is ideal for someone with experience in social media marketing, content creation, influencer marketing, user-generated content campaigns, community engagement, social media analytics, and brand growth.
As a Social Media Specialist, you will create and distribute engaging social media content, build editorial calendars, manage community and influencer outreach, analyze campaign performance, and develop strategies that increase engagement, traffic, followers, and brand visibility across major social platforms.
We are looking for talented and diligent candidates who perform well on our skills assessments. Strong skills test performance may be considered even if a candidate does not meet every preferred experience or educational background requirement.

Social Media Manager Responsibilities
As a Social Media Specialist, your duties will include:
- Creating and distributing engaging written, graphic, and video content, including short-form videos, carousels, and social media posts
- Researching opportunities for new social media platforms and adapting strategies to fit client needs
- Staying current with emerging technologies, social media trends, design tools, and platform updates
- Developing creative strategies to increase followers, reach target customers, and keep audiences engaged
- Developing and expanding community outreach and influencer outreach efforts for clients
- Analyzing campaign performance and translating qualitative and quantitative data into recommendations
- Revising social media, content marketing, SEO, and social advertising campaigns based on performance insights
- Setting campaign objectives and reporting on ROI, online reviews, customer feedback, and engagement performance
- Responding to online inquiries, comments, or questions as needed
- Creating editorial calendars and content syndication schedules
- Providing training and guidance to social media and marketing team members on social media best practices and strategies
- Managing user-generated content and influencer campaigns through research, communication, and project management
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms
- Strong understanding of audience types, social media best practices, engagement strategies, and traffic growth
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data to measure and improve marketing performance
- Experience with social media management platforms for scheduling, publishing, monitoring, and reporting
- 2+ years of experience building social media presence for global consumer brands
- Experience managing social media presence for both B2B and B2C clients
- Successful track record of building brand momentum, engagement, and audience loyalty
- Working knowledge of influencer marketing management and user-generated content briefs
- Excellent consulting, writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to edit photo, video, and text content for social media use
- Openness to feedback and collaboration with management and team members
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
- Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time
- Reliable remote workstation, including a fast computer, microphone, speakers, reliable internet, and reliable power
Preferred Skills
The following experience is preferred but not required:
- Experience managing influencer campaigns
- Experience managing user-generated content campaigns
- Experience creating short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms
- Experience with social media reporting, ROI tracking, online review management, and customer feedback analysis
- Experience with content marketing, SEO, social advertising, or paid social campaigns
- Experience training or guiding social media or marketing team members

Compensation
For candidates located in California, New York, Washington, and Colorado, the starting base pay for this position ranges from $17 to $35 per hour. Compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills test performance, geographic location, and seniority of the position offered. For candidates outside of California, New York, Washington, and Colorado, compensation may fall outside the listed range.
