  • Human Resources Generalist (Bilingual Spanish/English)

  • Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

  • Overtime: May be required as needed to meet business demands and complete assigned responsibilities.

  • Position Summary

  • The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting all aspects of Human Resources, Payroll, and related administrative functions within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This position requires a strong understanding of California and Federal employment laws, payroll processes, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, recruiting, and HR record-keeping.

  • The ideal candidate is a bilingual (English/Spanish) HR professional who can effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization and assist in maintaining a positive, compliant, and productive workplace.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Human Resources

  • Administer day-to-day HR operations and employee relations activities.

  • Ensure compliance with California labor laws, Federal employment regulations, and company policies.

  • Assist managers with employee performance issues, corrective actions, investigations, and conflict resolution.

  • Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and onboarding.

  • Conduct new hire orientations and facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding processes.

  • Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files.

  • Administer leaves of absence, including FMLA, CFRA, disability, paid sick leave, and workers' compensation claims.

  • Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee communications.

  • Support employee engagement, retention, and training initiatives.

  • Prepare and update company policies, procedures, and employee handbook materials.

  • Payroll & Accounting Support

  • Process and maintain accurate payroll records in compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Review employee timekeeping records and ensure payroll accuracy.

  • Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and reconciliations.

  • Coordinate payroll-related employee inquiries.

  • Support accounting functions such as invoice processing, expense reporting, and record maintenance as needed.

  • Assist with month-end reporting and administrative accounting tasks.

  • Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, wage and hour regulations, workplace safety requirements, and company policies.

  • Maintain I-9 records and employment eligibility verification documentation.

  • Prepare HR reports, audits, compliance documentation, and government filings as required.

  • Support OSHA compliance efforts and safety programs within the manufacturing environment.

  • Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience.

  • Working knowledge of California labor laws and Federal employment regulations.

  • Experience administering employee leaves, benefits, payroll, recruiting, and employee relations.

  • Bilingual in **English and Spanish (read, write, and speak fluently) is required.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial environments.

  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent).

  • Knowledge of labor law compliance, workplace investigations, and workers' compensation administration.

  • Payroll or accounting coursework/certification a plus

  • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout a manufacturing facility.

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Ability to travel throughout the facility to support employees and operations.
