• Check & Straightener, part maker (Aerospace Manufacturing)

• Position Summary:

• We are seeking a motivated and dependable Check & Straightener to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This position is responsible for inspecting, adjusting, and straightening sheet metal parts to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.

• The ideal candidate will have experience in the trade or a strong willingness to learn, along with the ability to work with hand tools and handle precision sheet metal components.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect aerospace sheet metal parts for flatness, alignment, and compliance with specifications

• Straighten and adjust parts using hand tools and approved techniques

• Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and specifications (training available if needed)

• Identify defects and ensure parts meet quality standards before moving to the next process

• Work closely with production and quality teams to maintain workflow

• Handle parts carefully to prevent damage

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Follow all safety and company procedures

• Must communicate in English, read and write in English

• Data Entry - Computer use required on occasion

• Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience in sheet metal, manufacturing, or a related trade preferred (but not required)

• Willingness to learn and be trained in aerospace standards and processes

• Ability to use basic hand tools (mallets, straightening tools, gauges, etc.)

• Good attention to detail and quality mindset

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift parts as needed

• Preferred (but not required):

• Aerospace manufacturing experience

• Familiarity with blueprint reading and inspection tools

• Experience in forming, straightening, or metal finishing
